UK gets better value for money for broadband ‘bundles’

December 20th, 2007

The results of a report published last week by Ofcom comparing communication trends in the UK, revealed that households in the UK pay less for the price of communications services – or ‘bundled’ packages – than they do compared with 4 the other countries they surveyed including France, Italy, Germany and the US.

The independent regulator also found that 40% of homes in

UK are signed-up to a ‘bundled’ service – which includes the internet, pay-TV and telephone line service in one package. The cost of such a ‘bundle’ paid by a typical family household costs £39.50 a month on average. The cost in other countries is as follows:

France – £27.22

Germany
– £39.77

USA
– £69.54

This report shows that the

UK fairs well when it comes to receiving a lower price and better value of money for all three communications services.
