Pipex have today launched a brand new line up to their package and price plans.
Their ‘Mini’ broadband product – aimed towards the majority of users – now costs £9.99, which includes free evening and weekend calls, plus a free modem and a download speed of up to 8Mb. With this package customers will also get a 2GB usage allowance.
All packages are based on a 12 month contract period, feature the same download speed of up to 8Mb, included either a free wired modem or wireless router, and require an initial connection fee of £20.
Their new ‘Pro’ package – aimed towards heavy users – costs £39.99 a month for which you get a usage allowance of up to 100GB – the equivalent to 20,000 songs or 2,000 albums. Those who sign up to this package will also benefit from 250MB of email storage.
One of the key differences you’ll see with these new packages is that they don’t promote ‘unlimited’ download allowances that do, in fact, limit you to what you can download and then charge you extra if you go over it. Instead you only pay for the usage allowance you need, which you can top up at any time for £3. This most importantly reflects more fairly in the package you choose and the price you pay.
