BT and the wireless network FON are working in partnership to create the “world’s largest wi-fi sharing community”, and as a result, seek to revolutionise wireless broadband.

BT’s four million broadband customers will now, as a consequence of this partnership, have the opportunity to share their own wi-fi connection with over half a million other FON members worldwide.

With access to 190,000 FON wireless hotspots globally, BT and FON members can make use of high speed and easy to use broadband in any location they choose; plus BT customers can already surf the web wire free in many cities throughout the world through their Openzone service.
